The story behind Art Inclusive — and the belief that every young person deserves a place where they feel safe, seen, and heard.
The Founder's Why
Several years ago, one of our sons came out as 2SLGBTQIA+. Like many families, we experienced a whirlwind of emotions, but our focus quickly shifted to them: their bravery, their strength, and the solitary journey they had faced before opening up to us. Through it all, their art was their outlet—their voice when words felt too heavy. Thankfully, they knew they were safe, seen, and heard in our home. Today, they're still thriving, still creating, and still growing into their fullest self. We're honored to be part of their journey, and proud to stand beside them as trusted allies.
Inspired by their story—and by the countless youth who are still searching for that same sense of belonging—we created this space. Art Inclusive exists to offer 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and their allies a safe, welcoming place to express themselves, connect with others, and grow through the healing power of art.
